The Kingdom of Morocco has a population of around 38 million and a Human Development Index of 0.71 ranking it 120^th out of 191 in the 2022 HDI report. Despite a projected growth rate of 3.5% for 2025, inequalities persist.

In 2024 the World Bank recorded the labour force participation rate as 19.5% for females and 68.4% for males and in 2024 men averaged 7.3 years of education compared to 5.2 years for women.”
